Focus Ireland believes that education plays a key role in the prevention of homelessness and in increasing public awareness of the different issues associated with homelessness.
While Focus Ireland does not currently provide school talks, our organisation has a number of innovative resources aimed at both primary and secondary school students and teachers. Click here to find out more.
The core aims of our education programme are to:
- Deliver accurate information to all
- Raise awareness on the work of Focus Ireland
- Inform young people in schools of the issues around leaving home
- Gain support from young people by effectively highlighting the issue of homelessness
- Educate young people on what they can do to help, especially in relation to campaigns and fundraising
Our Education programme is continually adapted and tailored to deliver the most up-to-date statistics, information and advice available to us.
