Focus Ireland is proud to be a member of My Legacy a successful joint initiative of over 60 Irish charities which aims to raise public awareness of the importance of making a will and leaving charitable bequests in wills through an on-going campaign.  

As part of this campaign, My Legacy launched an exciting new initiative called Best Will in the World Week , which took place from Monday 17th to Friday 21st October 2011, and will take place again in 2012. Through the Best Will in the World Week, you can get professional, impartial advice on your will for just €50, while also helping Focus Ireland by leaving a lasting legacy after you have gone. There are a number of ways you can leave money to Focus Ireland in your will:

• Pecuniary - a gift of a specific amount of money.
• Residuary - a share of the rest of your assets that you have not already given away.
• Specific - a gift of a specific item.
• A Codicil - even if you have already made a will and you would like to give a gift to Focus Ireland you can ask your solicitor to add a codicil (addition) to the original will. A codicil should be witnessed and signed in the same way as your original will, and should be kept with your original will.
