Volunteerism remains a strong tradition in Focus Ireland. We recognise its value in providing us with new ideas and perspectives, and much needed practical support, as well as encouraging civic engagement within the community and helping to reduce prejudices that exist about homelessness and people who have experience of being homeless.
Focus Ireland is an equal opportunities employer and volunteer involving organisation.
Focus Ireland is highly committed to the involvement of our volunteers and will endeavour to ensure that you have a positive and rewarding experience with us. Volunteering roles are filled in lots of different ways from one day events, to full time, year long volunteering on our Community Service Volunteer programme. Those intending to volunteer with us for a particular role or for the more medium term may be invited to meet with us so that we can explain the role fully, and answer any questions you may have. At times we may not have an immediate role available so in those cases , we may ask you if it would be possible to hold your details on a database until a suitable role becomes available. Some roles, particularly those working directly with our customers, will require background checks, so we may ask you to undergo Garda vetting and provide some references. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the form below and return to sbarnes@focusireland.ie We look forward to hearing from you.
