Cork City Marathon

2 June 2024

Kick off those virtual shoes, put on your Focus Ireland t-shirt and start running to support Cork homeless services.

We are asking you to take on the marathon as part of team Focus Ireland this June 2. Once you have registered, we’ll send you out a fundraising pack and a Focus Ireland running shirt that you can wear on the day. To help you reach your fundraising goals, you can set up an online donation page on iDonate, where your friends, family and colleagues can support you.

To find out more about the Cork City Marathon, including information about the course, starting times and how to prepare, you can visit their official website.

Event information

Starting off on St Patrick’s Street, the Cork City marathon course will bring you past many of Cork’s famous landmarks: The English Market, Cork Opera House, Blackrock Castle, along the banks of the River Lee, through the Jack Lynch Tunnel and many more. Finally you’ll finish back where you began on St Patrick’s Street having achieved something great!

If the marathon – 26 miles (and 385 yards) – is a stretch too far, why not try the half marathon or get friends or family to join you in a relay over 5 legs?
