The Coffee Shop

Open 365 days, this service provides nutritional, good-quality, affordable meals for people experiencing homelessness in a safe and warm environment.

The Focus Ireland Coffee Shop in Temple Bar holds a special place in the organisation’s history. It was the very first Focus Ireland service, opened in 1985 by Founder Sister Stan.
Today, the Coffee Shop embodies the Focus Ireland values of Respect, Dignity, Social Justice and Quality. The Coffee Shop embodies this through the simple but powerful act of offering nutritious, affordable meals in a safe, warm environment, operating 365 days a year for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.  The Coffee Shop naturally fosters food, connection, and relationship‑building not only by providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, but by pairing Food provision with an on‑site Advice & Information and bespoke peer worker service that supports people in crisis, helping them navigate housing, welfare, and wider support systems.
