What is Housing First?

Housing First is a project that provides comprehensive and holistic support to people living in homelessness. It provides wraparound services for those experiencing mental health, physical health, substance misuse, social or behavioural issues, and other challenges.

The Housing First programme consists of three major components:

  • Permanent, affordable housing
  • Mobile case management and treatment services (mental health, health, and addiction services)

Questions About Working With Focus Ireland?

You can speak to our Talent Acquisition team about our roles by contacting recruit@focusireland.ie

Our Mission

Family homelessness in Ireland is getting worse. Thousands of children, today, are homeless and living in temporary accommodation. We know homelessness hurts children the most. It is stealing their childhood, disrupting their friendships, and schooling, harming their mental health, and potentially damaging their futures.

This is not just unacceptable – and it is totally wrong.

For decades now, successive governments have failed to take homelessness seriously enough. Failed to build enough social housing. Failed families and children.

Enough is enough.

So, here we are, shining a light on children without a home, and calling on the government for action.

Our Values

Our values inform our actions and help us ensure our attitudes and behaviour reflect the ethos of the organisation.

Our expectation for every employee is that Focus Ireland’s values are reflected in our work, our communications and in our relationships – with each other, and with customers and tenants, volunteers, partners, donors and funders, and the wider public.

Our customers’ needs shape the services we provide. The quality of services delivery is equally as important as the kind of services we provide. These values underpin our behaviour and attitudes in the provision of service to all stakeholders.

  • Social Justice
  • Quality
  • Empowerment
