Every one of us has a right to a place we can call home. A place where we feel safe, secure, and can build our future. Yet in Ireland today, more and more people are losing that right and being pushed into homelessness. 

When you are made homeless, when you find yourself on the street or in an emergency hostel, your world collapses. It is crushing. It strips away your dignity and hope, leaving you with nothing but uncertainty. And the harsh reality is that this is happening to thousands of people right now. 

Homelessness is simply wrong. Yet for decades, there has not been enough social and affordable housing built to meet people’s needs. The crisis continues, and more families, children, and individuals are suffering as a result. 

But we know ending homelessness is possible. Every day, Focus Ireland is helping people get back on their feet, supporting them into secure homes, and preventing others from losing theirs. But we cannot do it alone.
