School Sleepout

Hundreds of schools and students sleep out each year and raise vital funds and awareness while experiencing some of the challenges faced by those who are homeless. Be part of something amazing and help fight homelessness by taking part in Focus Ireland’s School Sleepout.

Why take part?

This really is a fantastic group activity where students work together to organise the sleep out, fundraise and have an enlightening experience. Ireland’s young adults have a huge capacity for empathy. So many young people and very young children are now affected by homelessness. It’s so positive that students across Ireland are taking innovative action to support young people facing homelessness, and helping them change their lives for the better.

Act, learn, do

The School Sleepout gives everyone that takes part a sense of the challenges felt by young people who are homeless. Even more than that, it lets young people in Ireland experiencing homelessness know that they are not alone. By increasing education around homelessness and by raising crucial funds so that we can continue to reach the rising numbers of young people needing our support, you show them you care.
