May Lunchtime Talk- “Summary of Social Housing Assessments 2021

Date: Wednesday 18th of May

Time: 1pm

Meeting Registration – Zoom

The Summary of Social Housing Assessments (SSHA) is an annual review of all households on local authority housing lists across the state. It is carried out under the Housing Act (2009) and various Regulations, producing a point in time snapshot of the number and characteristics of households currently qualified for social housing. Data is analysed by the Housing Agency and findings are presented in an annual report published by the DHLGH. The aim is to provide local authorities and policy makers with a better understanding of the level and type of need for social housing to allow informed planning. Findings from the last review carried out on the 17th November 2021, will be reported in this presentation with a focus on those whose basis of need for social housing is homelessness
