Freda McKittrick

Freda McKittrick is an independent social worker and Guardian ad Litem. She has wide ranging professional interests and experience of management, governance and regulatory matters. She worked as a service manager for Barnardos Ireland from 2000 to 2024 with a commitment to the rights and needs of children, and best practice and quality standards. As a social worker of 40 years’ experience, she has a strong commitment to social justice, individual rights, and tackling the root causes of poverty and disadvantage. Freda is Chair of the Services Subcommittee of Focus Ireland.
