Saturday 25th April 2020
Sleep-Out April 25th at Cork City FC Bishopstown Training Ground to show your support for the men, women and children experiencing homelessness and to raise vital funds for Focus Ireland’s work.
The number of people now experiencing homelessness is at a record high. The homeless and housing crisis is deepening, with children and young people the most severely impacted.
For over 4,000 children across Ireland including children here in Cork, the housing and homeless crisis is a shocking reality. The largest group of people among those who are homeless are 0-4 years.
Every aspect of a child’s life is impacted, from play to education to diet. However, thanks to the hard work of Focus Ireland staff around Cork, we can support families as they seek to exit homelessness. We also prevent families from falling into homelessness in the first case.
Here in Cork the organisation has been working with local people since the turn of the millennium.
